Dining & Entertaining at Summerhill:

Summerhill Villa provides a number of settings in which to dine and snack. All meals are served to you by your butler. Guests in the ground level private suite have the option of dining in their suite.

Breakfast and less formal meals are usually served on the covered patio adjacent to the kitchen. The patio area has a full service bar, and a built in grill where our chef will prepare freshly grilled meals at your request. The perfect setting for evening cocktails or other family gatherings. For a secluded romantic dinner for two, we suggest a freshly grilled meal under the stars on our beautiful gazebo.

The formal dinning room has a warm, comfortable setting for entertaining at least 12 guests. The room is accented by a large wood china cabinet, a sideboard and two huge arched windows looking out onto lush tropical foliage. The table settings glisten with fine china and crystal glassware placed upon on linen. An ideal setting for sit-down candlelight dinners and other more formal occasions.

Next to the dining room is the large kitchen where your cook prepares all your daily meals using only the freshest ingredients for fresh tropical fruits drinks, appetizers, homemade soups, authentic Jamaican dishes and other meals according to your personal request.

Summerhill Villa is spacious enough to hold virtually any size gathering in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings. On the top level of the villa, separating the bedrooms is a comfortable, bright, airy sitting area furnished with decorator tables and chairs, suitable for use as a small gathering area or for just lounging around. The area flows into a large separate patio overlooking the pool area and the Caribbean Sea.

The main level offers several areas in which to gather and entertain. Aside from the formal dining room, the main level also provides a dramatic setting with the foyer/main entrance and staircase. The exquisitely styled grand staircase, leading to the top, level is framed by a long hallway with fine Italian marble floors and huge contemporary columns. Dramatic lighting gives the area a stately atmosphere without being pretentious. The foot of the staircase is complimented by an oriental rug, and the top of the stairs leads to the sitting area on the top level.

Activities:

Also located on the main level, is a living room area with a complete entertainment center, including Satellite TV, VCR and DVD players. A nearby video store carries the latest releases, or you can bring your own titles if you wish.

Opposite from the living room and next to the formal dining room, is a separate library. In the library, you'll find a sound system with CD player and a selection of assorted music CD's for your listening enjoyment, or you can immerse yourself in a book chosen from our many selections of classic and contemporary literature.

Of course, not all of Summerhill Villa's treasures are indoors. A cavernous pool and massive patio area offers even more stunning settings and entertaining opportunities. There are tables and lounge chairs throughout the pool and patio area, and a full service bar. The chef can prepare Jerk Chicken or other barbecue specialties of your choice on the built in grill on the patio, for a romantic dinner on the nearby gazebo. Romantic evenings by the poolside under the dim lights, the view of the Caribbean sea and the clear skies so abundant with stars promises to make your stay at Summerhill Villa a memorable one.

There is a large variety of fruit trees, tropical flowers, and lush plants throughout the estate, accentuating the ambiance of Summerhill Villa and the surrounding areas.

Summerhill Villa is close by many recreational areas and there are a large number of activities which you can enjoy. Some of the activities easily accessible to our guests include tennis, golf, horseback riding, world class spas, virtually every water sport imaginable and much more.

Transportation is also available (at additional cost) and there are tours of the island of Jamaica also. Summerhill Villa not only sits above the world renowned Half Moon Resort and Golf Course but is located just five minutes from the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Wyndham Hotel and Golf Course. Complimentary membership is provided to you for the Wyndham Hotel facilities which includes free access to the all non-motorized water sports and other facilities at the hotel. Discounted golf fees also are offered at the Wyndham Golf Course. With all there is to do around the area, there will never be any shortage of fun and exiting things to do and see.
